Fire Wood For Sale In Frinton-On-Sea

🌲Our Fire Wood Logs

Our team offers a range of tree care services, which results in us managing a great deal of wood. Among other things, we recycle this into quality firewood for the local community which is certified “Ready To Burn”.

Sustainably Sourced

Our Woodsure Certified firelogs are produced from our own wood, cut as part of our tree management contracts. So you can cozy up to the fire with the knowledge that you're promoting sustainable urban tree management practices.

Kiln-Dried Wood

Our firelogs are kiln-dried to ensure consistent moisture content, which means they burn hotter and more efficiently than other products. This translates to a cleaner burn with less smoke and ash, and you'll need fewer logs to keep the fire going.

Low Smoke Emission

Our firelogs produce minimal smoke when burning, so you can enjoy a clean-burning fire without worrying about air pollution or unpleasant smells.

Always look for Ready to Burn certifcation when buying firewood.

It proves the supplier’s woodfuels are ready for immediate use and adhere to the strict standards (ISO 17225-5) set by Woodsure.

🔥 Why Use Kiln Dried Logs?

Domestic log burner owners are legally obliged to adhere to The Air Quality Regulations 2020, which aims to prevent harmful pollution from domestic burning of all solid fuels by ensuring wood sold in volumes of under 2mÂł is certified as having a moisture content of 20% or less.

Our logs are force dried in a purpose built kiln to ensure they are dried to a moisture level which is not only required by law for burning, but also very easy to light and gives you the best heat output for your money.

Logs which are not sufficiently dry are hard to light, produce high levels of smoke and harmful emissions as well as producing less heat as they burn, leading you to require larger quantities to heat your home.

For this reason, by law, logs must be below 20% moisture content to be used as firewood. Ours are regularly tested with the industry standard method and we will only sell our logs once the kiln has dried them to between 15-20% moisture content.

Heartwood Tree Company’s kiln dried firewood is quick to light, burns hot and conforms with the legal guidelines for your wood fuel burners.

The atmosphere inside the kiln is constantly monitored during a drying cycle and the ambient air temperature and humidity is tracked to give indications of how the logs are drying.

When the humidity comes down sufficiently the logs are regularly tested for moisture levels. For this we take logs from deep down in the drying crates, from throughout the kiln and split them in half and test the inner surface.

This is how we know that our logs are truly dried to the legal levels of below 20%. Merely testing the outside of logs is not a sufficient test as the outside dries very quickly and with the inside still wet the log will burn poorly, provide little heat, and emit excessive emissions into the atmosphere.
